A caravan travels toward the castle carrying with it goods from many land. It's chief commodity is flesh. Slaves bought or stolen, for sale at a reasonable price. This journey has proven of little value however. The few slaves acquired have been sold with only a few exceptions.
An old man, beaten down by time, but usefull for minor activities.
Two middle aged women, one partially blind from her former owner; the other serviceable but weathered.
Two infants, both gravely ill and one young female, 22 years, presumed to be mute since she speaks little except when prodded and then often incoherent. However she has a good look about her and is sturdy for breeding stock or manual labor either in the field or in the castle.
The leader of the caravan, known as Assim, the Great One, is a ruthless slaver, known for his one sided trading, but with little merchandise to deal.
His main interest now is dumping what he has so he can travel more easily.
The travel has been slow but the castle is barely one days journey now and Assim hastens his speed to reach the castle before night fall.
