a honey drink, with mint and cinnamon to open palates, a light broth soup served with sliced onions on the top a hearty bread given, as well as no less than 15 different spreads
second course
poached pheasants with a pear glaze, a barley dish served around, seasoned with ginger, mustard and rosemary
third course,
roast venison, and stuck boar with apple in mouth
venison served breaded with strips and a seasoned spice glaze put over
a hearty brew of fresh ale served without
a beet tart went round as the desert
(a rather period meal...and not all normal sounding to us modern folks)
